Betis hope to beat Sporting to sign Roque.

Real Betis are still trying to convince Barcelona to let Vitor Roque join them. Although Betis’ offer is inferior to that of their arch-rivals Sporting Lisbon.

Real Betis ambassador Joaquin Sanchez, who was part of the Betis delegation that travelled to the Catalan capital is optimistic. That they can reach an agreement with Barcelona to sign Vitor Roque beating out Sporting Lisbon, who are also keen on signing the 19-year-old forward. Mundo Deportivo reports on Tuesday. UFABET 

Barcelona sporting director Anderson Deco has reportedly travelled to Portugal to negotiate an agreement with Sporting Lisbon over Vitor Roque. With the Portuguese outfit reportedly ready to pay an initial €20m plus €10m in add-ons to sign the Brazilian forward. 

Meanwhile, Vitor Roque is open to leaving the club this summer in search of more playing time. But the Brazilian forward is keen to stay in Spain if possible. With the 19-year-old attracting interest from Real Betis. 

Joaquin has been in the Catalan capital since Monday with Real Betis CEO Ramon Alarcon. And sporting director Manuel Fajardo to hold talks with the Blaugrana over Vitor Roque. 

‘It’s going well,’ Joaquin said when asked if he was optimistic about the negotiations with the Blaugrana. ‘We are happy but I can’t say anything more.’ 

However, the offer from Real Betis has not yet satisfied Barcelona. A​s the Betis are hoping to sign the player on a two-year loan deal. But the Blaugrana want to sell him outright to increase flexibility over the club’s salary cap. So the Andalusian side will have to continue negotiating to find the best option for all parties.
