Personal achievements are now a matter of honour. Palmer’s next goal is to win trophies with Chelsea and it would be great if that happens in his second year.

“It’s very special to receive this award and I would like to thank all the professional players who chose me.” Palmer told the official website.

“I still have photos on my phone to remind myself every day that there’s still work to be done in the future, so winning this award was worth the effort.”

“I have never received any awards like this before. This is a special honor and a reminder to keep my head down and practice no matter what happens. There is one thing I want: victory.”

“I want to win trophies with Chelsea, that’s the main thing. Winning individual awards is great.”

“Life is great now. There’s nothing to complain about.”

“Overall last season was excellent in terms of individuals. And hopefully we can hit the ground running in this new season.”

“Everyone is excited, the squad is full of young players. We have a great head coach and staff, so hopefully we can build on that to make it a good season.”

The 22 -year- old becomes the third Chelsea player to win the prestigious award. After Scott Parker in 2004 and Eden Hazard in 2014 .
