Atletico Madrid coach Diego Simeone has advised new striker Julian Alvarez to adapt to the team’s style of play in order to improve his skills football.
Julian Alvarez has just joined Atletico Madrid from Man City for a fee that could rise to €95m and made his debut as a substitute in Monday’s 2-2 draw at Villarreal UFABET
Simeone said of the new signing: “Julian is settling into the team and getting to know his teammates. He has to get used to the system we are playing and we hope to improve all his qualities even more.”
He also praised Spanish defender Robin Le Normand and Norway striker Alexander Sørloth, who also joined the team this summer.
“As for Le Normand, he’s OK. He’s ready. He’s a strong, aggressive and serious defender who will give us more stability in defense.”
“Sorloth, as expected, scored. We need to cross for him so he can show his full potential,” El Cholo said.
“Real Madrid start the season as the best team and will have to prove it. With the wonderful players they have while all the rest of us will be behind to compete against them,” Simeone said.
“We haven’t closed the squad yet, apart from not closing it yet, we need to focus on tomorrow’s game and see game by game how the team progress.
